Language Access Resources
The 2024 Language Access Summit brought together individuals and organizations across government and non-profit spaces working for language justice. We shared on-the-ground challenges, strategies, and best practices to advance language access and language justice across the 13th District and Cook County.
With over 100 languages spoken across the 13th District and Cook County, language access is essential to ensuring accessible, equitable, and responsive government for all.
We heard from Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle, Deputy Governor Grace Hou, Cook County Commissioner Josina Morita, and other leaders on how they were expanding language access and advancing language justice in Cook County and Illinois.
We worked with leaders across sectors to listen, learn, and collaborate:
Non-Profit Leaders and Social Service Providers
Libraries and Park Districts
Schools and Education Providers
City, County, and State Government Agencies and Departments
